Terms of Service
Effective October 29, 2026
These terms describe services offered by TrustPoint Notary & Courier Services, operated by Lisa Dixon. Review the service description, quote and any service-specific terms before confirming a booking. A written, agreed service-specific term controls if it conflicts with these general terms, subject to applicable law.
Requests, appointments and payment
Submitting an inquiry, choosing a preferred date or uploading a document does not itself reserve an appointment, accept a delivery or confirm payment. A booking is confirmed only when TrustPoint confirms the service and any required payment is verified. Review both pickup and delivery details. Times are Eastern unless expressly stated otherwise.
Prices, included work and any additional charges must be disclosed and agreed before payment or extra work. Online payments, when offered, are processed by Stripe. A payment receipt confirms payment, not completion of the service. Contact TrustPoint about a payment or access problem; do not submit duplicate payments without checking.
Your responsibilities
Provide accurate contact, location, timing and package details. Be authorized to request the work and share documents or recipient information. Prepare documents and packages as instructed, identify the intended recipient, and disclose relevant handling requirements. Do not submit unlawful items, prohibited contents or misleading requests. Courier eligibility rules shown on the request form apply.
Courier pickup and delivery
The confirmed service specifies the pickup and delivery locations and timing. Traffic, recipient availability and other disruptions may affect estimates; TrustPoint will communicate material changes when possible. A change in location, scope or required handling may require a new agreement.
TrustPoint documents handoffs with a signature when obtainable or photo evidence and a recorded reason when a signature is unavailable, subject to the agreed service requirements. A photo does not authorize an otherwise unauthorized drop-off or establish that a failed delivery was completed. Additional return or redelivery work and charges require agreement.
Cancellation and refunds
Courier cancellations are governed by the Courier cancellation policy accepted for that order, including notice timing, documented travel/work charges and refunds of unused prepaid amounts. Earlier orders retain the terms accepted at booking. For mobile notary, loan signing and apostille services, cancellation terms must be disclosed in the applicable quote or booking confirmation; the courier rate schedule is not automatically applied to those services. Contact TrustPoint promptly with your reference number to cancel or report a service issue. Nothing here removes a refund or other remedy required by law.
Notary, loan signing and apostille assistance
Notarial acts require applicable identification, willingness, appearance and other legal requirements. Sending a document does not guarantee it can be notarized. Do not sign in advance unless instructed. TrustPoint does not provide legal, tax or immigration advice, choose legal documents for you, or guarantee a lender's or government authority's decision.
Loan-signing support does not guarantee loan approval, funding or a particular transaction outcome. Apostille assistance covers the agreed preparation, submission or delivery work; the issuing authority controls eligibility, issuance and processing time. Original documents or additional materials may be required after preliminary review.
Zoom consultations support preparation and document review. A Zoom call by itself is not a completed remote notarization. Online notarization is arranged through Proof and its applicable identity, signing and recordkeeping processes.
Documents and communications
Share only documents you are authorized to provide. Keep a copy of originals and important files. Website upload and return-document files have a 30-day retention period; download needed copies before expiry. Longer required notarial or business recordkeeping is separate from temporary website file storage. See our Privacy Policy for information handling and provider disclosures.
Private links and verification codes are for the intended recipient. Service emails and calendar reminders support the work, but email delivery, phone sound and calendar availability depend on provider/device settings. Automated reminders do not replace the confirmed booking details. Automatic SMS and fax are not currently offered through the website.
Website and third-party tools
Use the website lawfully and do not attempt unauthorized access or interference. Availability of online booking or other tools can change. When a feature is unavailable, contact TrustPoint directly. Third-party payment, meeting, map and notarization tools are governed by their own applicable terms. TrustPoint does not promise uninterrupted website access.
Questions, problems and changes
Report an issue promptly so we can review the service records and seek a reasonable resolution. These terms do not impose mandatory arbitration, waive statutory consumer rights or excuse duties imposed by applicable law. Changes are posted with an updated effective date and do not retroactively alter an already agreed service.
